In life, we come across many paths. Whatever crossroads may come our way, choose to find joy in your journey. The path may not lead you in the way you expected. Your path might be flat and easy or it might be bumpy and full of hills. But you never know where it might lead! You can't always choose where your path may take you but you can choose your attitude. Heavenly Father knows what path will help you become the person He wants you to be. Trust His path for you.

Home Stretch of School

It has been a while since I last wrote on my blog! So much to write about...

I spent my spring break in San Francisco with my friends Marisa and Ali! I got to do all of the sight-seeing stuff like: Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Wood National Park, Stinson beach, Ghirardelli Square, the Oakland Temple, and Alcatraz island and prison! While I was there I had an interview for the internship position at Langley Porter Psychiatric Hospital. I felt like the interview went well, but they called me the next week to tell me that I was the runner-up for the position. I felt peace about everything and strongly feel that I was supposed to apply there but am meant to be somewhere else.

I have two new roommates! Clair and Yuri from Korea are here doing student teaching
at the local high schools! It has been fun to learn about their culture and also fun to teach them about ours!

Last week I traveled to Tempe, Arizona for the Western Region of the American Music Therapy Association conference! I was able to learn about the newest and latest ideas in music therapy, meet with directors of prospective internship sites, and present my thesis research on African drumming! I had a wonderful time with my friends and met many more. My mom flew down to come to part of the conference and watch me present! I am so grateful that she came. My presentation went really well and it was a great opportunity for me to gain experience presenting in a professional setting. I was also able to see some of the people that I met on my mission when I was serving in Arizona. One of the highlights of my trip was seeing my friend Melissa Sanders! It has been almost three years since I have seen her because of the overlap in our missions and then my study abroad. It was fun to talk about mission memories and catch up on what we are doing now. What a really great trip!!

As for my plans after May 4, I am going to be an awesome 24 year old who lives at home again! I still have to finish my human anatomy class, prepare for my level three music exam, and work to save money for my internship. I have had a couple of job offers that I think will suit me well for the summer/fall. I am continuing the never-ending process of applying for internships. I know that I will end up where I am supposed to be.   am really looking forward to moving home with my family. It feels like that is where I am supposed to be right now. Until then, I just have to finish strong!
